The Search for the Perfect Pearl
My name is Nelli Sinkkonen, founder of NELLIA. The brand started, quite literally, by accident! I was searching for the perfect jewelry to wear to an upcoming event and fell completely in love with the look of shiny glass pearls.
However, I couldn't find exactly what I envisioned—jewelry in subtle, neutral colors that perfectly matched my personal style.
So, I decided to make them myself.
From a Whisper to a Business
Crafting my first pair wasn't easy, but I managed to design a style and color I absolutely adored. When I wore them out, I kept getting the same question: “Where did you get those earrings!?”
That question sparked a journey. I began designing pieces for friends and family, and soon, orders were coming in from their friends and family. The demand for simple, elegant, handmade Finnish design was clear.

It's optimal to minimize prolonged exposure to harsh chemicals like chlorine, bleach, strong detergents, and perfumes, which can potentially degrade coatings (like PVD gold plating) over time. A quick wash with mild soap and lukewarm water removes daily oils and dirt. Always pat your jewelry completely dry with a soft cloth after washing or swimming. Store your stainless steel jewelry separately from softer metals (like silver or gold) to prevent minor scratching. A soft pouch or a dedicated jewelry box compartment is ideal.
